Chianti Classico DOCG

Climate trend

Warm early spring alternating with frequent rains. Late April and May with average seasonal temperatures. Hot and alternating summer with some precipitation with average temperatures for the period, with some peaks. Good throughout September and October The germination and all the vegetative development have been strongly anticipated. The grapes already in mid-September showed particularly high sugar contents and acidity levels below average, and the regular accumulation of noble polyphenolic substances was also good.

Vines

Small-berry Sangiovese with a small addition of Canaiolo.

Harvest

Performed manually from 16 to 28 September.

Vinification

Obtained in stainless steel containers with max. of 28 °, with 12-14 days of maceration.

Refinement

Made partly in stainless steel and partly in oak barrels of 225 and 500 liters of second and third passage for 12 months, followed by at least 3 months of aging in the bottle.

Organoleptic analysis

Elegant wine with a very intense ruby ​​red color with very slight garnet reflections, very intense and complex aroma, with notes of ripe red fruits, violets, spices and oak, great structure, balanced with dense tannins well blended with notes of fruit, tobacco and spices, persistent and pleasant in the finish.
