Castello di Tornano is first and foremost an organic farm.
Our philosophy is to care for the land so that nature can freely express itself in all its splendor.
Organic farming is at the heart of everything we do. We tend to our vineyards, olive trees, and vegetable garden to enjoy their fruits to the fullest. We have planted an orchard that will provide fruit for our guests in the coming years, and in 2026 we will add a hazelnut grove.
We are fortunate to have a hillside rich in streams and springs that naturally irrigate our fields. A well supplies the water needed for tourism, which we then purify through a state-of-the-art wastewater management system, allowing us to return clean water to nature and close the circle without disrupting its natural balance.
We manage electricity consumption by programming all our utilities and encourage sustainable transport with our electric charging station. In 2026, we plan to cover the new production cellar with solar panels to make it energy self-sufficient, while designing it to have the least possible architectural impact.
There are many projects that make us proud of how we care for our estate, and we are grateful that nature rewards us with the splendor of its colors and fruits.
