WINERY PHILOSOPHY
Achenar is a tribute to one of the most renowned yet often misunderstood varieties. Here, elegance, harmony and vibrant freshness come together to create a wine of great balance and approachable sophistication. Harvesting is done by hand, and fermentations are entirely spontaneous, accompanied by gentle daily pump-overs.
AGING
18 months in new French oak barriques by Seguin Moreau The wine is bottled without any fining.
CLIMATIC CONDITIONS
The 2023 vintage was marked by a rainy spring that made agronomic management very challenging, particularly due to strong downy mildew attacks. Nevertheless, the hot and dry summer, timely rains, and the typical day–night temperature variations of our vineyards favored perfect ripening, leading to wines that are fragrant, vibrant, and remarkably complex.
TASTING NOTES
Bright and expressive profile, where elegance and balance take center stage. Red cherry and wild berries are layered with subtle hints of sweet spices and a delicate touch of plum, with lively acidity that lifts the fruit and gives remarkable drinkability.
